6th Sponsored Race
Below you will find important information about the 6th Sponsored Race of the Associação Menonita Beneficente.
*GENERAL INFORMATION:*
The 6th edition of the Amb Sponsored Race will take place on August 18, 2024 (Sunday):
- The event will start at 2:00 pm, and the start will be at 3:00 pm, so participants (runners and sponsors) will have 1 hour to register and align proposals.
- It is not necessary to run or sponsor to participate in the event, we will have a square available to accommodate spectators.
- Registration is free, and will be done on the day of the race, at the event location.
- There is no minimum or maximum number of laps for each runner.
- There is no minimum or maximum value stipulated in reais for each lap, this will be agreed between the runner and the sponsor.
- There is no minimum or maximum age for participation, but we emphasize the importance of each runner evaluating their physical condition for participation.
- The sponsor may choose to stipulate the number of laps and the amount with their runner. They may define a fixed number of laps or leave it open, challenging the runner.
- The race will end at 5:00 p.m.
- We will have public health support to provide first aid, if necessary.
- The amount raised at the event will be directed to the project Serviço de Convivência e Fortalecimento de Vínculos, of the Associação Menonita Beneficente, which is the main and main purpose of the event.
*FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO RUN:*
- Runners may come with their sponsors already pre-defined before the event.
- Runners who do not have a pre-defined sponsor may be directed by the event team to a sponsor.
- If the runner cannot find a sponsor and wishes to run only to participate in the event, they may.
- A single runner may have more than one sponsor.
*FOR SPONSORS:*
- Sponsors may come with their runners already pre-defined before the event.
- If you wish to sponsor, but do not have a pre-defined runner, you may contact the event team to be directed to a runner willing to participate in the race.
- The amounts agreed upon between the runner and the sponsor must be recorded on the registration form, before the start.
- Payment of the amount agreed upon between the runner and the sponsor must be made at the event cashier, after the runner has completed the agreed route.
- If the runner has already completed the proposed route, and the sponsor and/or runner wishes to withdraw from the event, payment may be made directly at the cashier.
- If the runner is still running the route, and has agreed on a fixed number of laps with his/her sponsor, payment may be made before the runner has even completed the route, *if the sponsor so wishes*. This advance payment is the sole responsibility of the sponsor, and there will be no refunds in the event of failure to complete the agreed number of laps.
- If the runner does not complete the agreed number of laps, it will be up to the sponsor to pay the full or proportional amount.
*PRIZES:*
- The results for the awards will be determined the week after the event, and the event organizers will contact the winning participants in each category by August 30, 2023.
- The winning participants will be announced on our Instagram, website, and in some local Mennonite churches (Witmarsum Colony).
- In the event of a tie in the category, the oldest runner will receive the award.
- All runners in the event will receive a participation medal, which must be collected by each participant at the counter indicated as “information” at the event location.
- It is important that each participant leaves all the correct information on the registration form, in order to receive the award, if selected.
