The Renascer Project merged with the Associação Menonita Beneficente – Amb – in January 2021, thus continuing the Coexistence and Strengthening of Bonds Service already existing at AMB and Rensacer. One of the objectives of the SCFV is to strengthen the bonds of participants in the environment in which they live, whether at home, in the project, school and other places.
What is it?
According to the National Classification of Social Assistance Services, the coexistence and strengthening of bonds service is a service carried out with groups, organized in order to prevent situations of social risk, expand cultural exchanges and experiences, develop a sense of belonging and identity, strengthen bonds and encourage socialization and community coexistence.
It has a preventive nature, based on the defense of rights and development of the capacities and potentialities of each individual, preventing situations of social vulnerability.
This is a Basic Social Protection Service of the Unified Social Assistance System, regulated by the National Classification of Social Assistance Services (CNAS Resolution No. 109/2009).
Who is the target audience of the Service?
The target audience of the SCFV is understood to be children, adolescents, young people, users aged 18 to 59 and the elderly.
The Project serves children and adolescents who are at high risk and are sent by CRAS from Monday to Friday, in the morning from 8:00 am to 11:30 am. The children are welcomed with breakfast and finish with lunch, and another group is welcomed in the afternoon from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm, also with a meal.
The Project serves 110 children and adolescents aged 6 to 17; with the possibility of increasing the number of groups. Of these children and adolescents, 70 are served at Renascer and 40 at the AMB headquarters. All activities are geared towards the age of each group; with various themes, whether transversal or even human values, among the workshops, such as painting, music, etc. There are three axes that guide and organize the SCFV: Social Connivance, The Right to Be, and Participation.
How do you cover your expenses? All expenses are covered by donations from volunteer collaborators. We currently intend to renovate the old Renascer building, as it is quite deteriorated after years without renovation. We need to renovate the paint, roof, ceiling, patio, wall, among other things. We are at your disposal, please contact us. Associação Menonita Beneficente – Amb – Promoting LIFE and Dignity in JESUS. Be a Collaborator with AMB. Thank you.
